May 2024 Edition: The Supe's Newsletter - In this edition, we're celebrating creative and educational opportunities for our young learners. The Holmes STEM Middle School Academy recently hosted a community tour to showcase its innovative renovations. Meanwhile, the multi-million renovation project at Summerfield Early Childhood Education Center, is just getting started, promising state-of-the-art facilities for our youngest learners. Another highlight this month was the Doyle Ryder Family Night Poetry Slam, which brought our community together to celebrate creativity and the power of words. Families and scholars enjoyed an evening filled with artistic expression and connection. Flint River Monitoring- Flint River GREEN NPR featured the water testing today that Ms. Roberts' classroom did at a stream near the school in a piece for Michigan Public (formerly called Michigan Radio). with the following questions: 1. What are some of the things you've learned about water quality in streams and rivers to prepare for this experiment today? 2. What are you expecting the results of your testing will be? 3. How does it feel to get to this project hands on to get a better sense of how clean the water in your community is?
