It's almost here! Join us for the Kindergarten Roundup on April 23! Flint Community Schools has 100% FREE Full-Day Kindergarten classes. Join us for an engaging event designed to help your child start their educational journey with confidence for all FCS pre-kindergarten families. 🟡 Enrollment will be from 9 AM - 3 PM on April 23, 3025. 🟡 Super fun interactive activities will begin at 10 AM and conclude at 2 PM 🟡 Flint Community Schools families who have kindergarten eligible children (5 years old) as of September 1st are invited to attend.

Flint River Green workday and rehearsal at Southwestern classical Academy Wonderful job Ms. Stewart-Roberts, her team, and her science scholars at Southwestern Classical Academy today as they participate in an exciting Flint River Green workday and rehearsal. This event is part of the school’s ongoing commitment to environmental education and stewardship. Our scholars will have the unique opportunity to work alongside a team of professional environmental educators, including: • Taylor Franklin, Environmental Educator, Genesee Conservation District • Ella McFarland, Environmental Compliance Analyst, City of Flint - Water Pollution Control Division • Tiffany Minder, Environmental Compliance Supervisor, City of Flint - Water Pollution Control Division They will be joined by dedicated Southwestern educators and Flint River Watershed Coalition members: • Mrs. Lossing, Art Instructor, SWCA PBE member • Mrs. Stewart-Roberts, Biology Instructor, SWCA Green and Salmon in the Classroom teacher • Ms. Williams, Engineering and Design Instructor, SWCA PBE member Together, they’ll engage in water quality testing, environmental stewardship practices, and prepare for their upcoming Flint River Green presentation. Today is the first day of Spring Break! Flint Community Schools will be on Spring Break from March 31st to April 4th. There will be no school for scholars during this time. However, the district's administrative offices will remain open. Enjoy your break, relax, and recharge! We look forward to seeing our scholars back and ready to learn after the break. School will resume on April 7, 2025.
